Scotty's Cycling Festival incorporates Scotty's Race, Scotty's Ride, Scotty's Critium, Scotty's Track Night and Scotty's Community Ride. It is a major event on Victoria's cycling events calendar.

The Greater Shepparton Visitor Information Centre now has a booking service for accommodation. Accommodation is well catered for with a choice of quality motels, hotels, cabins, caravan parks, leisure’s centres, on campus facilities and bed and breakfast accommodation.

In December 2006 Scott Peoples was killed whilst on a training ride near Mansfield in regional Victoria. Scott's memory will live on through the ongoing support of cycling by the Scott Peoples Foundation.
